What is JetZero?

Today’s aircraft contribute around 2.5% of global CO2 emissions, equivalent to the emissions of 200 million cars. This is only going to increase: Air travel is forecasted to double by 2050, while meaningful efficiency gains using current airplanes have hit a wall.

JetZero is developing a blended wing aircraft. It uses 50% less fuel and can accommodate zero-emission hydrogen propulsion. JetZero is the inevitable solution to sustainable air travel.

The JetZero team

We are experienced aerospace professionals and engineers, excited about the future. That future will only be possible if we share our vision and what it means to people’s lives: carbon-free flight that's better for both passengers and carriers.

This is why we’re hiring an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of materials, components, and products provided by our suppliers. You will work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to develop and implement supplier quality standards, conduct evaluations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, both internally and with our suppliers, by analyzing quality data, identifying trends, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to enhance the overall quality of our products and reduce costs.
  • Create and define supplier technical and quality requirements based on customer and program requirements and expectations for NPI and manufacturing phases.
  • Implement and monitor production part approval process (PPAP) with selected suppliers to enable rate manufacturing.
  • Analyze supplier quality, delivery, and defect data/metrics to identify trends, pinpoint systemic performance gaps, determine root causes, and develop targeted improvement plans.
  • Lead corrective actions for supplier non-conformities, ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001 quality requirements, and industry standards.
  • Function as liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to resolve supplier quality issues and to provide technical support.
  • Collaborate with the quality team to achieve goals and objectives aligned with company priorities.
  • Work collaboratively with design engineers to gain an in-depth knowledge of piece part, assembly, and/or sub-system design intent.
  • Assure supplier understanding of product and submission requirements.
  • Use expertise to contribute to the prevention of defects and non-conformities, ultimately reducing the likelihood of recalls and/or customer complaints.
  • Develop and approve process controls to regulate acceptance of critical characteristics.
  • Recommend technical product improvements to reduce risk and potential defect opportunities and provide feedback as appropriate on manufacturing methods and technologies.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
